Welcome to your GCSE ICT Project.

This project is all about taking the management of an event. In previous years all of the event's administration was done manually and it ended up as a shambles.

This time things are different - this time you are involved to help analyse what went wrong and create solutions to the event's previous problems.

The type of event is up to you - maybe the best thing to do is choose something you are intersted but it must be very different from your Year 10 Portfolio work.

Before you start

Create a folder called ICT Project and within in create 6 folders - A, B, C, D, E, D, F. Within these folders you should save your work.

For example Section A2 will be saved in folder A.

It is also important that as you carry out your project you give the files you create suitable filenames - the best way to do this is to use the section name as a filename.

For example Section A2 would be saved as Section A2.doc

In word set up a document with a nice border, logo and footer - use this for your template for all your sections of work.

Remember throughout the project to spellcheck your work and use your checklist to make sure you have not missed anything.

Screenshots - you can use the print screen button to take a picture of the screen and paste it into word - you have to do this during the project. If in doubt or if you do something technical - take a screenshot. Try and make sure each screenshot has a title of what it is you are doing.
